Frank Lloyd Wright spent his later years between Taliesin in Wisconsin and Taliesin West in Scottsdale, Arizona, just north of Phoenix. It was actually more than his winter home, it was a studio and a school. The facility is still the winter home of the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture, where students still construct their own living quarters. The facility was built by the students, with Wright providing hands-on teaching. That said, construction quality was never considered to be of very high quality, but rawness of the structures eminate a very experimental feeling.
